Tarangire-Manyara-Serengeti-Ngorongoro

Details

Pick up from your hotel residence in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing drives. The undulating savannah woodland, dotted with majestic baobabs-many of which are estimated to be over 2000yrs old-is a home to the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania. And when the dust blows the plains dry, game viewing is nothing less than breathtaking. Late in the dry season, the park hosts the highest density of wildlife of almost anywhere on the whole continent.  Dinner and Overnight at Lodge or Campsite
After breakfast at your camp, head toward Lake Manyara for a game drive. Established in 1960 making the second oldest National Park together with Arusha National Park. Ernest Hemmingway called Lake Manyara the loveliest lake he had seen in Africa. And he might have been right. Stretched out at the base of the mighty Rift Valley escarpment, with shorelines coloured pink by thousands of flamingos and great game viewing in a small area, it is a true African gem indeed. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Campsite
After breakfast, we drive to Serengeti National Park arriving for a route game viewing drive in the park searching for the big five. Later return to your camp Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Campsite
Spend a full day in the reserve with morning and afternoon game-viewing drives. The oldest Tanzania National Park was established in 1951 with 14,763 km2 and stretches 210 km from south to north. Being surrounded by millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle is a phenomenon you will never forget. In their annual migration north they stampede over open plains, plunge into rivers almost as if they are possessed and are endlessly chased by predators. The Serengeti is a world heritage site, biosphere reserve and one of the New Seven Wonders of Africa.  This is where the German Zoologist BerhardGrzimke and his son Michael published their book ‘Serengeti darfnichtsterben’ (Serengeti shall not die). All meals and overnight at Lodge or Campsite
After breakfast, you will have a morning extended game viewing drive in the park on a route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We arrive in the evening in time for dinner. Overnight at Lodge or Campsite
After early breakfast, descend down the crater to view wildlife for a half-day safari tour. The Ngorongoro Crater is a World Heritage Site and is home to a wide variety of animals. The Crater is about 610 Meters deep and 260 km squared and consists of a number of ecological environments, including grasslands, swamps, forests and even a soda lake. Animals include rhinos, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and an amazing variety of birdlife including thousands of flamingos. In the afternoon drive back to Arusha and transferred to your residence or to the airport.
