Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Transfer to Nainokanoka
We will pick you up from your hotel at 08:00 and depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending for game viewing and enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater. After the tour, you will ascend to the rim and continue to Nainokanoka Village Campsite for dinner and overnight. If you arrive by 3:00 PM, you may take an optional hike to Olmoti Crater and Mungu Waterfalls before dinner.

Day 2: Trek to Empakaai Crater
After breakfast, begin your trek to Empakaai Crater, where you will have dinner and overnight at the campsite. All gear, food, and water will be carried by donkeys guided by a Maasai warrior.

Day 3: Explore Empakaai & Trek to Acacia Camp
Spend a few hours exploring Empakaai Crater before continuing your trek to Naiyobi Village (approx. 5 hours, 10 km). From there, continue on to Acacia Camp (approx. 1 hour, 3 km) for dinner and overnight, helping shorten the final trekking day.

Day 4: Trek to Lake Natron
Trek from Acacia Camp to Lake Natron, enjoying stunning views of Oldoinyo Lengai along the way. A vehicle will meet you at the base of Lengai around 10:30 AM to transfer you to Lake Natron Campsite for dinner and overnight. During your stay, don’t miss the chance to visit Engare Sero Gorge and its beautiful waterfall.

Day 5: Lake Natron Activities & Return to Arusha
Continue exploring Lake Natron in the morning, including visits to Engare Sero Gorge waterfalls or the lake shore. Around noon, you will depart for your return trip to Arusha and be transferred to your hotel.
