Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Transfer to Nainokanoka
We will pick you up from your hotel at 08:00 and depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending for a full game-viewing tour with a picnic lunch inside the crater. Afterward, we ascend to the rim and continue to Nainokanoka Village Campsite for dinner and overnight. If you arrive by 3:00 PM, you may take an optional hike to Olmoti Crater and Mungu Waterfalls before dinner.

Day 2: Trek to Empakaai Crater
After breakfast, begin your trek toward Empakaai Crater, where you will have dinner and overnight at the campsite. All gear, food, and water will be carried by donkeys and guided by a Maasai warrior.

Day 3: Explore Empakaai & Trek to Acacia Camp
After spending a few hours exploring the crater, continue trekking to Naiyobi Village (approx. 5 hours, 10 km), then proceed to Acacia Camp (1 hour, 3 km) for dinner and overnight. This shortens the final day’s trekking distance.

Day 4: Trek to Lake Natron
Trek from Acacia Camp to Lake Natron, enjoying views of Oldoinyo Lengai along the way. Your vehicle will meet you at the base of Lengai around 10:30 AM for the transfer to Lake Natron Campsite, where you will have dinner and overnight. During your stay, you can visit Engare Sero Gorge and the beautiful waterfalls.

Day 5: Lake Natron Activities & Return to Arusha
Continue with Lake Natron activities in the morning, including touring Engare Sero Gorge waterfalls or visiting the lake. Around noon, depart for your return drive to Arusha and transfer to your hotel.
