Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be met by your safari representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Enjoy dinner and rest as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast plains filled with big cats, elephants, zebras, and other wildlife.
Day 3: Full Day in Central Serengeti
Spend the full day exploring the central Serengeti. Known for its resident wildlife, this region offers incredible chances to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and massive animal herds. Sunset game drive optional.
Day 4: Serengeti – Migration Region (Depending on Season)
After breakfast, move to the region where the Great Migration is active—Northern, Western, or Southern Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive en route and spend the afternoon tracking millions of wildebeest and zebras.
Day 5: Full Day in Migration Area
Another full day following the Great Migration. You may witness river crossings (June–September), calving season (December–March), or spectacular predator activity.
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy a sunrise game drive before heading toward Ngorongoro. Stop at a Maasai village for a cultural experience, then continue to your lodge located on the crater rim with stunning views.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for one of Africa’s greatest wildlife spectacles. Spot rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and unique birdlife. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home or onward journey. End of safari.
